E3 2003: FIFA Football 2004 Hands-On Impressions
FIFA Football has always been acknowledged as one of the top soccer games on the market, if not the very best. Electronic Arts had the latest FIFA title on display, and we were able to play through it and once again were quite impressed. The player movement was very crisp and progressed nicely during the game. Ball handling was very in-depth and extremely quick. I was pleased with FIFA Football 2004’s game pace and it never felt sluggish or lagging while playing. Controlling players was a breeze and it was rather easy to get a hold of the game. The button controls are simple so the game doesn’t struggle with any problems in that area. Overall gameplay in my mind was stellar and the flawless animations added to the game’s appeal.
Environments in FIFA Football 2004 are as extensive as you’d imagine, with attention to detail really being made an issue in this year’s title. Graphically, the game was very nice to look at and exhibited qualities that are expected from EA. From a visual standpoint FIFA Football 2004 is very polished and doesn’t portray some of the deteriorating aspects that plague other sports titles in graphical standing. The game has improved slightly from last year and maintains it’s stature as one of the top soccer titles for consoles. Expect more information on the game in the near future.
