DMA Design and Psygnosis Founders Team Up in Scotland
Real Time Worlds, a development studio in Scotland, is drawing a fair share of attention. Spearheaded by David Jones, the founder of Grand Theft Auto and Lemmings development house DMA Design, this new development studio is currently working on two big projects. The projects are allegedly being aimed at consumers who enjoyed Grand Theft Auto and to racing fans. No concrete details about either of the two projects is currently available, unfortunately.
Jones is not alone at Real Time Worlds-- two other major employees of Real Time Worlds are significant in the gaming industry. One is Ian Hetherington, who founded Psygnosis and who once was the managing director for Sony Computer Entertainment Europe. The other notable staffer is Tony Harman, who was formerly the director of development and acquisition for Nintendo of America. Harman was also the executive producer of Nintendo's Donkey Kong Country series.
Although we know little about these projects right now, there's certainly reason to be excited, considering the successes of the three big-time minds mentioned here. We're certainly going to keep our collective eyes open for announcements regarding Real Time Worlds' projects, as there's a lot of potential with the talent in place.
