The Italian Job Ships

Eidos Interactive has announced that The Italian Job has shipped to retailers for the PlayStation 2. The game is inspired by the classic Michael Caine movie and connects the plot to gameplay throughout the title. Players assume the role of Charlie Croker, a former convict who has been double-crossed by a former associate. Losing millions of dollars in gold through the scam, player are able to recreate portions of the movie with 11 different vehicles, including the new Mini Cooper.

"The Italian Job movie has proven to be a major summer blockbuster," said Renee Pletka, product manager at Eidos US. "We are absolutely thrilled to be partnering with Paramount to bring this film's high-octane, nonstop action to video game consoles."
