Mortal Kombat: Deadly Alliance Surpasses Two Million Sold

Midway announced today that Mortal Kombat: Deadly Alliance has surpassed the 2 million mark in total sales, spanning all platforms. Released in November of 2002, the game marked the first solo Kombat effort for series co-creator Ed Boon. John Tobias, the series' other creator, left Midway in 2001.

For fans of the Kombat series, fear not: A new installment is in the works, and, as usual, Midway is keeping a tight lid on it. After the success of Deadly Alliance, the next game has a lot to live up to. We'll keep you posted as news arises regarding the next Kombat title.
