3DO games find new home
When 3DO filed for bankruptcy this past spring, the future of the company's bigger franchises looked bleak indeed. However, a few of the bigger titles were salvaged at a recent bankruptcy auction in San Francisco this week.
Among the franchises purchased, High Heat Baseball was acquired by Microsoft for an undisclosed sum, Street Racing Syndicate was purchased by Namco for approximately 1.5 million dollars, and Ubi Soft picked up the rights to Might and Magic and Heroes of Might and Magic for roughly 1.3 million dollars.
At this time, the fate of other 3DO titles has not been disclosed. We'll have more information on this story as it develops.
