Monster Rancher to include crazy apes

Tecmo and Ubi Soft have recently come to an agreement that will allow the monkeys from Ape Escape to appear in Tecmo's latest installment in the Monster Rancher series. In the game, players will be able to raise the monkeys, as well as train them, just as they would with any other animal in the game.

"We are delighted to include the apes from such a popular and well-loved franchise," said John Inada, director of sales and marketing for Tecmo. "It is a rare treat that fans of both titles will get to experience. I can only see this as a clear indication of how much farther we have gone to ensure that Monster Rancher 4 is the best in the series to date."

Monster Rancher 4 is currently scheduled for a fall 2003 release.
