Lik Sang international settles legal dispute with Sony

Lik Sang International recently announced that they have settled out of court with Sony over their $45 product that allows users to bypass Playstation 2 security measures to illegally copy software. The company has dropped their appeal of a March 4th court decision in favor of Sony and agreed to cease selling this particular device, according to Rueters. Also, Lik Sang acknowledged various copyrights by Sony and has agreed not to release any information pertaining to Sony security measures.

Lawsuits against Lik Sang were also brought by Microsoft and Nintendo back in September of 2002, and Lik Sang has stated that this settlement with Sony does not affect those proceedings, which the company is still in the process of appealing.
