Prince of Persia gets its groove on

The arrival of the current generation of consoles has made music in games far more important than it was in previous generations. These past few years have seen some big musical talent lining up to provide audio content, including Snoop Dogg's work on Gran Turismo 3 and Harry Gregson-Williams' (composer of The Rock) work on the Metal Gear Solid 2 soundtrack.

Knowing this, Ubi Soft has secured some rather impressive contributors to work on the soundtrack and effects in their upcoming Prince of Persia title. Jason Bentley, who supervised the music in The Matrix, will work with DJ Melo-D on commercial and trailer tracks for the game, while Stuart Chatwood of Tea Party will compose the in game soundtrack. Sound effects will be provided courtesy of the Academy Award winning studio Dane Tracks.

This is certainly good news for gamers who have been following this latest Prince of Persia game, which has so far seemed very impressive. You can check out our in depth preview on this game here, and we'll keep you abreast of any further developments as they become available.
