Eidos climbs out of the red
Eidos CEO John van Kuffeler recently stated that the UK-based publisher has returned to profit in the fiscal year ending June 30th, 2003. This turn of fortune is being credited to the strong sales of what Eidos called "four pillar titles": Tomb Raider: Angel of Darkness, Hitman 2: Silent Assassain, Championship Manager 4 and Timesplitters 2. Each of the four titles sold over one million copies, helping the troubled firm once again reach solid financial ground.
Eidos has also stated that they do not plan on publishing a third installment in the Timesplitters series despite the recent success of Timesplitters 2. They have also announced 3 new games (titles not disclosed), and promised to address delay issues that have plagued some of their key franchises such as Tomb Raider and Legacy of Kain.
