Major League Gaming offers major league cash

Major League Gaming recently announced an upcoming tournament to be held in New York City later this fall. The tournament, which starts on October 25th, will feature the Playstation2 version of Madden NFL 2004 and Halo for the Xbox. Serious prize money is up for grabs; a total of $10,000, which players can vie for after paying an initial entry fee of $50.

"MLG is for real, and the proof is that the best gamers in the country are coming to our first regional event in New York City to show the world what pro gaming is all about," said Michael Sepso, CEO of Major League Gaming. "If you are serious about your gaming and want to be a pro gamer, then being a part of the first MLG tournament is not only important, it's essential."
