EA to Publish Final Fantasy X-2 in Europe

More news from the UK, and this time it concerns the release of the highly anticipated Final Fantasy X-2. Square Enix has signed a deal with EA to release the game in Europe, through the new EA Partners division , stating "We at Square Enix Europe will be working hard with Electronic Arts to ensure that this latest addition to the Final Fantasy series is a big hit with both our existing fans and newcomers alike."

Final Fantasy X-2 is the sequel to the Playstation 2 greatest hit Final Fantasy X, and the first direct sequel to any game in the Final Fantasy series. It will follow the adventures of Yuna, one of the original gameís main characters. The game is due out in the US before Christmas, and will likely receive an early 2004 release date in the UK though nothing firm has been announced.
