GameCube Price Lowered
Gamers on the fence about purchasing Nintendo’s slow selling Gamecube got a little encouragement today in the form of a major price drop. The Cube will now sell for the low price of $99, and is now available for that price from Toys R Us and Amazon.com, who are leading the way with the cut, with others scheduled to follow soon.
What does this mean for the price of the Playstation2? It depends who you ask. Sony denied any prospect of a price drop last week saying that they were “very comfortable with their price point, and that their holiday print ads are already in place and would be very difficult to change.”
Sure that sounds good, but they also denied a price drop just days before it happened last time. If and when it does happen, PSX Extreme will be one of the first to let you know.
