Wild Arms Alter Code: F Details

In case you haven't heard, Sony Computer Entertainment Inc. is remaking the original Wild Arms, which was released way back in 1997. Wild Arms Alter Code: F will break free of the original's party of three limit. In addition to the original's three heroes, Alter Code: F will feature three new characters to play as: "Calamity Jane Maxwell (arms), McDullen Harts (swords) and Professor Emma Hetfield (guns). How these three will tie in with the story is unknown, but it is known that McDullen is Jane's butler.

The new battle system will now allow players to construct two parties (of three). You can switch parties on the fly; so while one party fights, the other waits and/or recovers vitality if they have to. What's intuitive is that when the party is ambushed from behind, the background party will be the acting party, while the main party rests.

At this moment, Wild Arms Alter Code: F has yet to be announced for the US, and will be released on November 27th in Japan. It'll retail for 6,800 yen ($65) and pre-ordered copies of the game will arrive with a Wild Arms History disc. The history disc includes drawings and various movie clips from previous 'Arms games.

We'll keep you updated on further Alter Code: F stories.
