Nyko announces their PS2 peripherals in America.

Today, Nyko announced that their PlayStation 2 peripherals are now available from American retailers. The following should give you an idea of what the company is offering for use with Sony's new system.

NYKO's compact Wireless Remote retails for $19.99. The remote boasts a controller pass-through connector, which makes possible simultaneous controller/remote link up to one port. The remote has a range of fifty feet, controlling all functions of the system's DVD and CD capabilities.

Also, the Omega 2 controller, which carries an MSRP of $29.99, is an exceedingly advanced videogame console controller. Much of the latest technology is featured in this controller, such as fully analog and pressure sensitive action buttons, an analog directional pad, and independent turbo. Dual analog control sticks and the vibration features are standard on the Omega 2 controller.

Next, the company offers a combination cable featuring S-Video and Audio/Video connectors. The cable retails for $12.99, and is designed for use with both PlayStation and its 128-bit successor. The set features not only an S-Video connector, but audio/video RCA connectors as well.

Additionally, Nyko offers a memory card for use with all PlayStation 2 titles. The memory card retails for $34.99, and features eight megabytes of storage. Also, the card can be used with DVD playback, and features a specially designed flash memory capacity which allows high-speed access.

Finally, for all of you who fear your system will somehow fall over during gameplay, you can put your mind at ease now. Nyko also offers a Vertical Tower for use with the system, which retails for $19.99. The tower is made out of a high impact ABS substance. The tower can also be used as a security stand and storage space for the 128-bit system. The tower features storage space for eight CDs, and also includes a memory card holder.
