Take-Two Hooks Up With Cartoon Network

Take-Two Licensing, Inc., a subsidiary of Take-Two Interactive Software, Inc., has entered into a first-look licensing deal with the Cartoon Network. The deal gives Take-Two first right of refusal to develop and publish videogames for all new Cartoon Network-branded properties that target its core six to eleven year old audience. The first property headed to the game world under the agreement is the series Codename: Kid’s Next Door.

Take-Two Licensing is the recently formed subsidiary that combines Take-Two’s licensed assets from its publishing divisions with those acquired from the company’s purchase of TDK Mediactive. Bill Gross heads up the division, replacing Vincent Bitetti, former TDK Mediactive CEO, who resigned in order to “pursue other interests.” Warner Bros. Interactive Entertainment is the Cartoon Network’s licensing agent.
