Summer School Gets Interesting

A new month-long videogame boot camp is set to launch this summer in New York City. Running from July 6-August 6, and comprised of 24 9:00 AM-4:00PM sessions, the NYU Camp|Game: Intensive Video Game Creation will serve up an “award-winning faculty of industry professionals,” allowing students the chance to “study and practice creating concepts and prototypes for games.”

Targeting students ages 17 years and older, the camp ask that attendees have a “solid understanding” of at least one of the following: Adobe Photoshop; 3d Studio Max (or GMax); a sound editing tool like Reason, Logic, etc.; Flash MX; Java; C or C++; or Visual Basic. Attendance will cost $5125 and lodging is available. Interested parties should dial (212) 992-3370 to find out more.
