PSP Gets Delayed
A postponement extends to only the North American and European markets, as the device is apparently still on schedule to be issued in Japan this holiday season. A spokesperson said the release was delayed in order to ensure the presence of a “reasonable” amount of software titles at the PSP’s launch.
Stewart Halpern, an analyst for RBC Capital Markets, termed the delay “no big deal,” at least in terms its affect on publishers, because none “had been counting on PSP game sales to make a noticeable contribution in the 2004 calendar year."
