Take-Two Chairman Resigns

Take-Two Interactive Software, Inc. has announced that its founder, chairman and director Ryan Brant has resigned those positions and will take a new role as vice president of publishing.

Richard Roedel has been appointed non-executive chairman by the company’s board of directors. Roedel was a director at Take-Two and chairman of its Audit Committee since 2002. A CPA and “financial expert,” Roedel most recently was chairman and CEO of the accounting firm BDO Seidman LLP, and was also formerly a director at both Brightpoint, Inc. and Dade Behring Holdings, Inc.

In his new role, Brant “will focus on Take-Two's publishing business, including the continued development of the Company's portfolio of proprietary brands.” He commented, “Take-Two's continued success was paramount in my decision. I am passionate about our business and deeply committed to the company. I believe this is the right time to make a management transition to position Take-Two for the future.”
