The latest pool simulation, Real Pool, is to release this week for the PS2.

Third party developer Infogrames is turning over Real Pool, the company's upcoming PS2 pool simulation, this week to retailers. As is the case with a solid number of PlayStation 2 titles, the realistic physics in Real Pool are to make for descript and detailed ball roll and behavior. The new title also boasts twelve modes of play, and an additional twenty-five puzzle games. Real Pool supports two-player gameplay, and carries an MSRP of US$39.99.

"Real Pool is a game that everyone in your family can appreciate," stated Laddie Ervin, the director of marketing for the sports and racing label for Infogrames. He elaborated, "The game's incredible physics and outstanding graphics will amaze mom and dad or the family billiards aficionado, while the addictive puzzle tables will keep the kids coming back for more." Infogrames looks to have a respectable pool simulation on their hands, so billiard buffs might keep their eye on this one.
