D&D For PS2

Atari, Inc. and developer Stormfront Studios are in the midst of creating Forgotten Realms: Demon Stone for the PlayStation 2. Due out this fall, and in development under a license from Hasbro, Inc., the action adventure game is based on Wizards of the Coast’s Dungeon & Dragons world. An “enhanced” version of Stormfront’s game engine will power the title, in which players will control a party of three characters—Fighter, Sorcerer and Rogue—with the ability to switch between avatars on the fly.

The game’s storyline revolves around the player blundering into the middle of a war between a pair of “demonic armies.” “After inadvertently releasing both demons back upon the world after eons of imprisonment, it becomes the adventurer's quest to right their wrong and restore order to the world of Faerun.”
