New Logitech Controllers Coming

Logitech will release two new 2.4GHz wireless controllers—one for the PlayStation2 and the other for the Xbox—this spring. Logitech’s Cordless Action Controller for the PS2 is based on a similar Cordless Controller for that platform, but features “a smaller, lighter form factor.” It will have an MSRP of $39.99 in the U.S.

The Cordless Controller for Xbox is also an updated version of a previous controller, which will feature a smaller size, lower price and half the battery power (two AA’s). It will retail for $49.99 in the U.S. Logitech will be on hand at this week’s Game Developer Conference in booth #1941. In addition to new products, the company will be demoing its "enhanced" line of free software development kits (SDKs). SDK's to be shown include Logitech’s USB audio SDK, its mouse and keyboard SDK for the PlayStation 2 and an SDK for its PS2 product the Driving Force Pro Wheel.
