Silicon Knights Goes Multiplatform (Again)

Silicon Knights today announced the end of their exclusive relationship with Nintendo, with the intent to develop software for the Playstation 2 and Xbox. While the reason behind the split is unknown, it is speculated that Nintendo was unhappy with the poor sales of Silicon Knight's two Gamecube-exclusive titles, Eternal Darkness and Metal Gear Solid: The Twin Snakes.

Before becoming a Nintendo-exclusive developer, Silicon Knights was working on an action-based role playing title named Too Human, originally planned for a Playstation release. The project was then moved to the N64, and eventually ported to the Gamecube. There is no word yet if Silicon Knights plans to continue developing Too Human for the Playstation 2 and Xbox, though at this time it is the most likely scenario.
