Driv3r Goes Gold

Reflections Interactive today announced that they have completed their latest project, Driv3r, with the master disc having been sent off for replication. The third title in the wildly successful Driver series, Driv3r marks the first appearance of the franchise on PlayStation 2.

"The Wheelman is back...and in a big way," commented Wim Stocks, Executive Vice President of Sales and Marketing at Atari. "Everything that was great about the previous two games - the awesome driving, deep storyline, film-like cinematics and the feeling of ultimate cool - has been amped to the next level in DRIV3R. With amazing new technology, Reflections has blown away every other game in the genre in terms of driving physics, graphics, and vehicle destruction to create the ultimate movie-like action game."

Those seeking an advance peek at Driv3r can check out our E3 impressions by clicking here. Though the general buzz has been far from positive, we're attempting to keep an open mind until we get some solid time with the title.

Look for Driv3r to hit North America on June 21, with the European and Australian launch due the following day.
