InterAct commanding third party product sales for the PlayStation 2.
Today, peripheral developer InterAct announced a staggering market share for third-party product sales on the PlayStation 2 since the super-system's launch on October 26. The company released numerous impressive sales figures. InterAct has outsold its competitors by a phenomenal margin of six-to-one. At the same time, the popular accessory developer has claimed a 37.5 percent unit share as well as a 22.5 percent dollar share. Adding to the company's extraordinary success, five of InterAct's 13 products released for the PlayStation 2 have been verified top-ten sellers for the system.
"This is great news considering we have yet to release our GameShark and memory cards for the PS2," commented Todd Hays, Interact's president and founder. He continued, "I am anxious to see how that gap continues to widen between InterAct and the rest of the pack when those products are released in December." With two of the company's most anticipated accessories yet to come, expect to see a continued symbiosis between InterAct and Sony's PlayStation 2.
