Majesco has just announced that they've pushed back the release date of Advent Rising to the first quarter of 2005. Advent Rising is slated to be a trilogy of games in which players will enter a “a gripping adventure that thrusts gamers into a continuously evolving series of sequences and events that unfold in an incredible intergalactic saga." In development by GlyphX Games, the first title is due out for the Xbox and PC formats.
Majesco’s CEO Jesse Sutton said of the delay, “This change in strategy also enables us to free the game from what we expect to be an overcrowded holiday season so that we can maximize the impact of our marketing campaign."
Despite not releasing the anticipated game this year, Majesco continues to stand-by previously issued guidance for fiscal 2004, which called for net revenues of $100.0 to $110.0 million and operating income between $12.0 and $15.0 million.
