Finishing touches put on Final Fantasy X's theme song.

Nubuo Uematsu, the legendary composer who takes credit for many of the Final Fantasy series' auditory masterpieces, has apparently completed the theme for the highly-anticipated Final Fantasy X. This news is according to Square's official website, PlayOnline.com. The lyrics for the important song are from Kazunari Nojima. Nojima seems a perfect choice to handle the song's lyrics, as the song's lyricist was a planner on the Final Fantasy VIII team. Apparently the performer of the song has not yet been revealed. When Uematsu was asked about this issue, he quipped, "it's going to be Rod Stewart."

Final Fantasy X's release date has not been set in stone, but it is probable that the title will drop by March of 2001. As reported earlier, Squaresoft has made the decision not to make hints and strategy guides from PlayOnline available for Final Fantasy X.
