The Final Fantasy Movie draws Roger Ebert's attention.

Today's Chicago Sun Times featured a preview on the hyped Final Fantasy movie, composed by the famous film critic Roger Ebert. In the preview, Ebert comments on the shockingly realistic animation featured in the film.

"The peculiar effect of Final Fantasy is hard to explain or anticipate, which is why I was impressed by the impact of two trailers for the movie that were shown here during a panel discussion at the Hawaii Film Festival," commented the recognizable critic. He continued, "On the big screen with surround sound, they decisively up the stakes in the action blockbuster genre. You can get a hint of that impact at the Web site; the big screen impact is much more decisive." Roger Ebert was clearly impressed by the upcoming film, and all that the movie's creators can hope for is a repeat of the success boasted by the videogame series bearing the same name.

The scope of production for history's first completely photo-realistic computer-animated movie is grand, as 200 digital artists hailing from 22 different countries have contributed to the film. The future blockbuster is due out in July of 2001.
