New faces in Tony Hawk 3.
Tony Hawk, skateboarding's posterboy and endorser of what many consider to be the greatest skateboarding game ever made, has recently granted an interview with the online counterpart of the periodical of choice of intellectuals everywhere (that's right, the publication that we all purchase for those well written 'articles'). In the interview, the skateboarding god revealed insight on Tony Hawk Pro Skater 3, which is currently in the works. Among the information revealed was that the anticipated title would boast a new skater in its yet to be revealed roster.
"Neversoft and I drew up a list that best represented the different styles of skating," the living legend told the source. "They're trying to get into the next one. So far the only guy that they've confirmed for the next one is Bam Magera. They don't know who else or if they are going to add anyone else."
Enjoying the bliss of THPS3 may seem like a distant dream, but the title is currently being developed by Neversoft. The company plans to ship the heir to the skateboarding videogame throne sometime in late 2001. Aside from the graceful visuals which have become standard, the upcoming Tony Hawk title is to be much more detailed and complex in many areas. For example, numerous multiplayer mini-games are rumored for the title, and a revamped create-a-skate park mode is to add to the enjoyment of Tony Hawk Pro Skater 3.
