Bloodrayne 2 Shipping

That screamin you heard was Majesco's vampire-themed third-person action game, Bloodrayne 2, shipping into stores.

Whereas the original Bloodrayne had players biting the throats of Nazis in the 1930's, the sequel takes place in present day and pits Rayne against members of her own family. Specifically, her father has come up with a scheme to enact a prophecy that will allow vampires to live without limitations in the daylight.

Sounds a lot like the plot of the first Blade movie actually.

The combat system has been expanded to include evasion moves, group attacks, and a diverse array of weapons including pistols, shotguns, machine guns, and rocket launchers. In the first game, Rayne simply got out of the way of her attackers, had to focus on one opponent at a time, and her weaponry options were limited solely to a set of handguns.

Developed by Terminal Reality, BloodRayne 2 is rated "M" for Mature and has a suggested retail price of $49.99. A motion-picture based on the game is currently in production.
