Activision renames Street Lethal.
Being announced earlier this Spring at the E3 2000 show, Activision confirmed a name change for the their PS2 racing game Street Lethal. Now the game will be known as Supercar Street Challenge, Supercar will be released next Summer 2001, and I have got high hopes for this great looking racing game. "Our goal is for Supercar Street Challenge to set the new standard in racing games," states Larry Goldberg, executive vice president of Activision Studios. "By combining the latest innovations in technology with the fastest supercars from the world's top car design houses and a ground-breaking car creation option, our sights are firmly set on creating one of the most exhilarating racing games in the market."
What's groundbreaking about Street Supercar Challenge is that it will let the player build and race his own custom made vehicle through 16 courses, set down in LA, Rome, Monaco, or you can pick one of the 10 selectable cars designed by Modena, Callaway and Fioravanti. Also Supercar should be noted for its marvelous looking graphics, the game will include real-time lighting effects, real-time whether and overall hi-res visuals that will still keep the frame rate a perfect 60. With this new announcement, my anticipation of Street Supercar Challenge is increasing day by day, for more information and screenshots, check out the preview.
