A-Ressha confirmed by Artdink.

Artdink has recently released word that a title bearing the popular A-Ressha name will be coming to the PlayStation 2. The mentioned title is set to hit Japanese retailers in March of 2001. The A-Ressha game will sport compatibility with PlayStation 2's hard drive and popegg printer.

Artdink also comfirmed the development of two sequels to the title, despite their hesitance to reveal the target platform. The unofficial title for the second game mentioned is A-Ressha de Ikou 2002, which will feature only online gameplay. A-Ressha de Ikou 2002 will sport compatibility with ADSL and cable modems. The title's gameplay will feature the competitive or cooperative development of cities. The third title, entitled A-Ressha de Ikou 2003, is to build on 2002's existing premise by augmenting the gameplay with intriguing features such as access to the stock market and banking. 2003 will also empower gamers by making it possible to run a business and buy and sell land, as well as railroad tracks.

A-Ressha de Ikou 2001 will be coming to the PlayStation 2 on March 8, 2001. Upon release it will retail for 6800 yen. An add-on disc to the mentioned title is projected to hit retailers in April with an MSRP of 2800 yen.
