Further light shed on PS2 Half Life.
Half Life, since its release more than a year ago, has received acclaim from nearly every publication that has featured the first person shooter. The mastermind behind the console versions of the classic title, Randy Pitchford, has recently granted information on the PlayStation 2 version's multiplayer capabilities to a respected source.
He commented, "There's an all-new game that's included with Half-Life for PlayStation 2." He elaborated, "It will allow players to compete cooperatively or against each other in some very important battles that took place at the Black Mesa Research Facility during the time-line of Half-Life." This is certainly good news for deathmatch fans everywhere. Half-Life's single-player greatness notwithstanding, many were concerned that the multiplayer modes of the PS2 incarnation would be limited or not present at all. The recent announcement should put these fearts to rest.
"We'll talk a lot more about the game later, but it's significant since players can enjoy the game alone or with friends."
