3DO announces release date for World Destruction League.

The 3DO company has recently confirmed a release date for the awaited World Destruction League: Thunder Tanks. The mentioned PlayStation 2 title will hit retailers on December 19. In a related story, AquaAqua is now complete and is currently being examined by quality control experts at SCEA.

"With the release of World Destruction League: Thunder Tanks and AquaAqua, we will reach our goal of shipping our first two PlayStation 2 games this quarter," boasted Trip Hawkins, the influential chairman and CEO of the 3DO company. "We currently have an additional eight PlayStation 2 titles under development." Good lord, folks. Perhaps it's just a personal pet-peeve, but I'm still waiting for a company that knows how put spaces in between their words rather than smashing them together and breaking up the words by the sole use of a capital letter: a problem that AquaAqua for PlayStation 2 clearly does not alleviate.

My jaded gripes notwithstanding, 3DO's PlayStation 2 lineup for the immediate future is extensive. The mentioned lineup includes World Destruction League: Thunder Tanks, AquaAqua, Warriors of Might and Magic, Army Men: Air Attack 2, Army Men: Sarge's Heroes 2, High Heat Baseball, Army Men Green Rogue, Portal Runner, Heroes of Might and Magic, and finally, World Destruction League: War Jetz.
