Delta Force: Blackhawk Down Announced For PS2

NovaLogic has announced that a new version of the PC title Delta Force: Black Hawk Down is currently under development for the PlayStation 2. Due in Q2 2005, the game will have a redesigned single player mode, as well as new multiplayer features, including 32 player games online.

Set in Somalia in 1993, Delta Force: Black Hawk Down is based upon and around the Operation Restore Hope and Task Force Ranger campaigns and follows members of the Delta Force and US Army Rangers as they participate in a number of raids against Somali warlords in and around Mogadishu.

A portion of the proceeds from the game will be donated to the SOWF, which provides college scholarship grants, along with financial aid and educational counseling to the children of Special Operations personnel who were killed in an operational mission or training accident.
