PS2 News: EA Comments On Take-Two's Deal

EA Comments On Take-Two's Deal

Take-Two recently completed a deal with the MLBPA that allows them the exlusive third-party rights to the Major League license, but it is possible for Microsoft, Sony and Nintendo to make their own baseball games. Needless to say, EA felt the need to chime in on the deal.

"They are paying an exclusive price for a nonexclusive agreement," EA VP of corporate communications Jeff Brown commented, but went on to note that the deal "proves that there is still competition in sports games." He also went on to call the deal "stupid money", just so we know how they feel about the matter.
