PS2 titles in the works from Moderngroove.
Moderngroove Entertainment, a Canadian developer formed only recently, has confirmed plans to develop a music-based title for Sony's 128-bit PlayStation 2. Moderngroove is a developer chiefly comprised of former employees of Electronic Arts Canada. The mentioned music title is to feature in excess of five hours of modern music provided by popular DJs.
"When evaluating potential developers, Sony looks for a high level of innovation with the ability to deliver a great product," commented Adrian Crook, Moderngroove's executive producer. Crook elaborated, "Our team is excited to be given the chance to prove ourselves on the most significant entertainment platform in the world. The PlayStation 2 is a vehicle that will deliver truly interactive entertainment to the home. It's the unique abilities of the PlayStation 2 - broadband, DVD, USB - that attracted Moderngroove to the platform."
In addition to the planned titles that are set to grace the PlayStation 2, the developer also has plans to bring titles to Sega's Dreamcast, the Nintendo Gamecube, as well as Microsoft's vaunted Xbox. The mentioned PlayStation 2 game will see daylight this winter.
