PS2 News: Midway Announces New Rampage Game

Midway Announces New Rampage Game

The retro craze is showing no signs of slowing down. Midway has announced that Rampage: Total Destruction is currently in development. Rampage: Total Destruction is scheduled for release in spring 2006 for the PlayStation 2 and the GameCube. The game is expected to be available for a suggested retail price of $19.95.

"Fans of the Rampage series are in for a whole new level of mayhem in Rampage: Total Destruction said Steven Allison, chief marketing officer, Midway. While the game retains the core elements that made the Rampage series so popular, new mechanics and play modes make Rampage: Total Destruction a unique game experience for a great price."

Rampage: Total Destruction promises a new take on an arcade classic complete with original monsters: George, Lizzie, and Ralph, along with a variety of new monsters to collect and play. Virtually everything in the environment can be damaged, broken, and destroyed. Aided by power-ups, the Rampage: Total Destruction monsters are capable of acquiring a number of upgrades throughout the course of a single campaign. The game will also include a two player mode.
