Square announces performer of FFX theme song.
Square's highly-anticipated PlayStation 2 epic Final Fantasy X has received a significant amount of press as of late, much of it focused on the title's soundtrack. On that note, Square's PlayOnline Web site declared that the title's theme song has been officially assigned to a performer. Popular Okinawa artist Rikki is to sing the track, composed and written by legendary composer Nobuo Uematsu. Faye Wong, returning from her work on the successful Final Fantasy VIII, will also provide work for the soundtrack. Also to be featured in the upcoming RPG is popular Asian performer Emiko Shiratori. Shiratori has also been highlighted in the Final Fantasy series in the past.
The future blockbuster is set to hit Japanese shelves this spring.
