PS2 News: Battlefield 2: Modern Combat Goes Gold

Battlefield 2: Modern Combat Goes Gold

Man, somebody at EA is working a late night tonight. We just got a press release letting us know that Battlefield 2: Modern Combat for the PS2 and Xbox has officially gone gold. The game will begin shipping to stores starting Tuesday, October 25, 2005.

The single player campaign has new Hotswapping feature that allows you to zoom all over the battlefield, so you will always be in the middle of the action. Of course there's tons of multiplayer action, with 24 player online battles. Fighting for one of 4 sides – the US, the European Union, the Chinese, or the newly formed Middle East Coalition - the game has a boatload of weapons and over 30 vehicles.

Battlefield 2: Modern Combat is rated “T” (Teen) by the ESRB and has an MSRP of $49.99.
