Jaleco to bring Illbleed to PlayStation 2.

Recently, reports have surfaced that Jaleco may be planning a PlayStation 2 version of the unique survival horror-title Illbleed. The company recently secured the title's North American publishing rights. It was previously believed that the title would be a Dreamcast exclusive, but speculation has arisen as to the target platform of the Climax Graphics-developed title. Fueling the uncertainty, a company representative commented, "There is no current development on [the PlayStation 2], but we are considering other platforms in addition to the Dreamcast."

The offbeat title features numerous idiosyncrasies not typical of the survival-horror genre. Illbleed has the gamer braving a haunted house for one night to the end of claiming a 1 million dollar prize. The title boasts ample amounts of suspense, livened up by prototypical survival-horror gore. While the Dreamcast version is due out in February, the company has not released official word as to the release of the PlayStation 2 incarnation.
