PS2 News: Midway Ships Blitz: The League

Midway Ships Blitz: The League

The fine folks over at Midway have announced that their "win at any cost" football game, Blitz: The League, has shipped to stores. Featuring hard-hitting tackles and over-the-top post-whistle mayhem, Blitz: The League is the game the "No Fun League" (aka the NFL) doesn't want you to see.

"Blitz: The League is the football videogame that Midway has always wanted to develop given the creative freedom from NFL restrictions," said Steve Allison, chief marketing officer, Midway.

Many thought for sure that the Blitz brand was doomed when EA snagged exclusive rights to the NFL license, but you know the old saying; You can't keep a good man down. And if the trailers we've been seeing about this game are any indication, Blitz is going to make "Any Given Sunday" look like First Grade recess.
