PS2 News: King Kong Goes Gold

King Kong Goes Gold

Ubisoft has sent word that King Kong has officially gone gold for the PS2, Xbox, GCN, and PC. Coming at later dates are versions for the PSP, Xbox 360, Gameboy Advance, and quite possibly some other system that I totally forgot. The title will launch in North America November 22 at the MSRP of $49.99 and is rated "T" for Teen.

"Ubisoft is extremely excited to reach this milestone in collaborating with Peter Jackson, Wingnut Films and Universal Studios Consumer Products Group," said Yves Guillemot, president and chief executive officer of Ubisoft. "The response among the media, core gamers and the mass-market audience has been tremendous and we can't wait to launch Ubisoft's most impressive and successful game of 2005 - Peter Jackson's King Kong: The Official Game of the Movie."

There will be no avoiding King Kong this holiday season. You're better off just giving in now and having some fun with the game, especially if you enjoyed Beyond Good and Evil, since the same group is behind Kong.
