Disk swap trick discovered for PS2.
Me and you knew all along that someone is going to find a way to get around the Playstation 2's protection. We just didn't know who will crack it and how they'll do it.
Well, some people in Japan found a way to play regular Playstation games on the imported PS2. It isn't easy, nor we recommend using the method. Why? Because you actually need to open the very complicated system in order to swap the disk. The process requires you to open up the case of the PS2, get some pieces loosened up or removed and have your disks swapped two times back and forth while the spindle is actively spinning.
You might be asking what is the point of going through so much trouble in order to play a regular Playstation game on an imported PS2. My answer is, there is no point of doing it since most of you reading this article already have a Playstation that you can use to play the games like they were meant to be played. Although the PS2 slightly improves the Playstation game graphics, the difference is almost unnoticeable. So unless you are a really curious person who must open the system up for no reason, don't try this.
