PS2 News: Tomb Raider Sells A Billion (Hitman, Too!)

Tomb Raider Sells A Billion (Hitman, Too!)

If you see an SCi Entertainment executive dancing skivvy-less in the middle of the streets, don't call the cops on him! He may just be celebrating the impressive sales of two resurrected franchises.

Tomb Raider: Legend and Hitman: Blood Money, both rescued from the flailing Eidos, have more than delivered to their new owners. Of course, they benefit from being multiplatform titles, but that's not to knock 2.9 million Tomb Raiders purchased and another 1.5 million for Blood Money since their respective debuts in April and May.

Once languishing franchises stuck in the 1990s, there seems to be little doubt that SCi will continue to push Lara Croft and Agent 47 well into the next generation.
