Take Two Reunites The Tribe
The influential and socially concious rap group, A Tribe Called Quest, split eight years ago after the release of their final album The Love Movement. What else could bring them back together other than their love of the game? Tribe member Phife Dawg's video game fanatacism was the lynch-pin in their deal to headline a tour made to promote Take Two's upcoming NBA 2K7. The "2K Sports Bounce Tour," as it's called, will hit the following cities on these dates:
* 9/8 - Las Vegas, NV @ Red Rock
* 9/9 - Berkeley, CA @ Berkeley Community Theatre
* 9/10 - Los Angeles, CA @ The Wiltern LG
* 9/13 - Denver, CO @ Fillmore Auditorium
* 9/15 - Chicago, IL @ Congress Theatre
* 9/16 - Milwaukee, WI @ The Rave/ Eagles Club
* 9/17 - Toronto, ON @ Kool Haus
* 9/20 - Baltimore, MD @ Rams Head Live
* 9/22 - Washington, DC @ Love the Club
* 9/23 - Atlanta, GA @ Tabernacle
* 9/24 - Lake Buena Vista, FL @ House of Blues
* 9/28 - Atlantic City, NJ @ House of Blues
* 9/29 - Worcester, MA @ The Palladium
* 10/1 - Sayreville, NJ @ The Starland Ballroom
Phife Dawg will also appear in the game as a hidden character along with other music stars such as Flava Flav, ?uestlove, and Common. Whether you like the b-ball franchise or not, it'll at least allow fans to come together for another round of Tribe goodness.
