Scarface Lives

The legend is reborn.

Yesterday, Vivendi Games' Sierra Entertainment announced that Scarface: The World Is Yours, the highly anticipated game based on the vastly popular 1983 film, is now available at retail stores nationwide. The game is available for PC, PS2, and Xbox, and all retail for the standard MSRP of $49.99.

Tackling the intriguing question of, "what if Tony Montana survived the final shootout?" Scarface gives that legion of fans more goodness in the form of a virtual sequel. Sierra wants to deliver a Hollywood-quality gaming experience, bringing the classic Tony Montana character to life. The voice cast features over 50 celebrities from all entertainment venues (movies, TV, sports, music, etc.), and the soundtrack is truly massive; they've included 120 licensed songs from both the '80s and today.

Sierra is also releasing a PSP version alongside the others, entitled Scarface: Money. Power. Respect, and this handheld version combines turn-based strategy with real-time battle. If you want to go this route, the game is simply on another shelf in the store, and retails for $39.99.

Tony's world was undeniably his, but his world can now be ours...without the nasty side-effects of illegal drug activity and death, of course.
