Burnout Gets Another Chance To Dominate On PS2

A few months ago, Electronic Arts confirmed that the ever-popular and highly acclaimed Burnout franchise would continue on next-generation consoles. But those of you unable to leap aboard the next-gen train needn't feel shunned; EA will be releasing a new title for the console the series debuted on, the PS2. They'll even include a port for the PSP.

Entitled Burnout: Dominator, the game should be the good ol' racing bash-fest we all know and love, as this new World Tour will test mad-rush skills to the max. As of yet, however, there are no plans to allow the PS2 and PSP versions to interact with each other in any way.

The title is currently in development at EA's Guildford studios in the UK (some of you may know them as Criterion Games), and is slated for a 2007 release. We'll let you know when more info and/or details comes to light.
