Another Buzz! For PS2
See Full ImageSome of you may remember the immense – yet short-lived – popularity of the Who Wants To Be A Millionaire? video game. It was during a time when seemingly everyone on the planet watched the show, and therefore, was interested in buying the brain-busting quiz game. Well, there’s another series out there now that might appeal to you game show, Jeopardy-loving fanatics: it’s called Buzz! and there has already been Buzz!: The Big Quiz for the PS2. The latest, Buzz!: The Mega Quiz should be available some time this spring, and will offer dual Buzz controller support for up to eight players. That’s right, a Buzz controller.
You may want to brush up with some Trivial Pursuit before tackling this one, though, as it will boast over 5,000 new questions, 500 different picture puzzles, and even 50 pop video teasers. But if that’s not enough to pique your curiosity, the multiple game modes might. It all depends on how you want to play; whether you wish to let your noggin or your somewhat underhanded craftiness dictate your success. In Winner Stays On, for example, it’s all you- just stay up there, answering as many questions correctly in a row to rack up the bit points. Or, if that’s not your bag, give Point Picker a try, where you can choose your favorite category of questions or, and this is even more fun, select a category you believe will give your opponent fits.
To top it all off, there’s a whole new final round, entitled Final Countdown. So there’s plenty to like here, and Buzz!: The Mega Quiz is shaping up to be on ehell of a fun party game. We’ll let you know when they finally nail down a release date.
