Media Create Japan Software Sales: Feb. 12-18
The Media Create chart for the week of 2/12-2/18 sees some drastic changes. For starters, it looks like Virtua Fighter 5 had absolutely no staying power at all. After debuting at #1, the game is residing at #25 this week. Level 5's newest creation for the Nintendo DS debuted at #1 this week, with a superb intake of 137k copies sold. Tales of Destiny 2 debuted at #2 for the PSP taking in a respectable 73k in sales.
Overall, software sales saw a noticeable boost in sales over
the previous week. Nintendo Wii's flagship titles Wii Sports and
Wii Play are still selling fairly well, with Wii Play approaching
the one-million mark. On top of that, More Brain Age for the
Nintendo DS sold 28k copies last week, and as of today has
officially surpassed the 4 million mark.
