MotoGP Franchise Moves To Capcom
It was a relatively quiet Capcom Gamer's Day, but a few interesting nuggets of information came to light. One of them is the announcement that the publisher had acquired the rights to MotoGP, the street bike simulator that's exclusive to the PlayStation platform. Previously, Namco produced the games, but now, Capcom has secured the rights to the franchise through 2012.
We don't know much of anything about any new projects, besides one that will actually hit the PS2 - not the PS3 - at some point this fall. For now, it has a working title of MotoGP '07, but considering how close it is, we expect we'll see more information within the next month or so. We hope to see a PS3 installment in 2008, but that's just a guess.
